Christmas At Bishop Hill

This week in our look at stories from around the state, we travel out to far western Illinois. Bishop Hill is off the beaten path, nestled among farm fields. That hasn't stopped the small community from working to preserve its Swedish heritage and maintain its status as an international tourist destination. Illinois Public Radio’s Emily Boyer visited the historic community

This week in our look at stories from around the state…we have a story from the farthest west region of the state. A 16 county region of western Illinois is nicknamed Forgottonia. That’s also the name of a trilogy of photography books that document life in the region. Illinois Public Radio’s Rich Egger talked to the photographer about the project and has this story
