It’s been a while since we’ve gone ‘into the woods’ here at First Light, but with spring comes an increasing number of people-animal interactions. In particular, baby animal interactions. That fact also means it’s a busier than normal time at the DuPage Forest Preserve’s Willowbrook Wildlife Center and its animal hospital. First Light host Brian O’Keefe stopped by the wildlife center this week to talk with naturalist Stephanie Touzalin.

It's The Season For Coyote Sightings

At this time of year, you may start to see the region’s largest predator on a more frequent basis. Litters of coyote pups were born earlier in the spring, those hungry mouths mean the adult animals are foraging for food and may be out more often. Last spring, First Light host Brian O’Keefe spoke with DuPage Forest Preserve naturalist Stephanie Touzalin about the frequently maligned mammal
