Just over 40 years ago, after what had been a long night at Children’s Hospital, a Chicago committed to finding a way to make the experience more bearable for other families. The result was the first Ronald McDonald House. While many people have heard of the temporary housing for families dealing with a medical crisis, few have ever been inside one.
